Bachelor of Laws from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in 2011. Obtained his postgraduate certificates and diploma respectively in Oil and Gas Sectors from the Brazilian Institute for Studies of Energy Law (Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos do Direito da Energia), in Energy Law from the Engineering Faculty of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, as well as in Public Law from the São Paulo School of Laws of Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Daniel earned a postgraduate degree in Infrastructure Law from the São Paulo School of Laws of Fundação Getúlio Vargas in 2015. Currently, Masters (LL.M.) candidate in Litigation and Dispute Resoluation at University College London (UCL), London, United Kingdom. He is member of the Committee of Young Lawyers of the Brazilian Bar Association, Section of São Paulo and other learned societies around the world, such as AASP, ABEArb, INOVARB-Amcham, IBA, YIAG-LCIA, CIArb, YICCA, ASA-Below-40, Young ICSID, ICDR Young and Young ITA. Daniel has worked in several multidisciplinary and sensitive disputes before administrative authorities, courts and arbitral tribunals, involving commercial and financial agreements, compliance, public law, infrastructure, antitrust, energy and corporate restructuring. Amongst his regular clients, he advises Bombardier, LATAM, Credit Agricole (CA-CIB), Natixis, Unilever, Wyeth, Pfizer, Empresa Brasileira de Engenharia (EBE), Petronas, Santander, Comgás, Nestlé, Ecolab, Monsanto, Lenovo, Ford, Honda, Camargo Corrêa, Decolar.Com and Grupo Santa Joana.

  • 2016: Advised a foreign group of investors in the Brazilian naval industry in a corporate dispute against Brazilian shareholders that worth around USD 1Bi / R$ 3Bi.
  • 2015 - 2016: Represented an engineering company in administrative proceedings derived from the Car Wash Investigation (amount involved is inestimable).
  • 2015 - 2016: Represented a French bank in one of the most important reorganization proceeding (Chapter 11 or administration equivalent) in Brazil. Such case is worth around USD 1,5Bi / R$ 4,5Bi and was named "Deal of the Year" in 2015 by Latin Lawyer.
  • 2014 - 2016: Represented a multinational company in several improbity lawsuits, class actions, lawsuits for damages and civil inquiries in connection with the Subway Cartel Investigation (amount involved is inestimable).
  • 2013 - 2014: Advised one of the world's biggest State-Owned Oil company in pre-arbitral and reorganization (Chapter 11 or administration equivalent) related proceedings in connection with a farm-out agreement in Brazil (USD 850MM / R$ 2,55Bi).
  • 2012 - 2016: Represented one of the global leaders in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services in an arbitration proceeding before Amcham and parallel court proceedings involving unfair competition issues (amount involved is inestimable).
  • 2011 - 2016: Represented two French banks in a relevant liquidation case (Chapter 7 or widing up equivalent) in Brazil, involving a debt of almost USD 650MM / RS 2Bi.
  • 2011 - 2016: Represented a pharmaceutical company in a class action, civil inquiry and administrative proceeding related to medicine supply. The outcome of each dispute may relevantly impact the company's operations in Brazil (amount involved is inestimable).
  • 2011 - 2016: Represented a subsidiary of an aviation company in a cross-border conflict that involves a liquidation case (Chapter 7 or winding up equivalent) in Brazil and foreign related proceedings that run in parallel in the US and Switzerland. Such case is worth around USD 650MM / R$ 2Bi.
  • 2011 - 2014: Advised one of the world's greatest technology and computer company in several public law disputes that sought to declare null and void a debarment sanction (amount involved is inestimable).
  • 2011 - 2014: Represented one of the greatest biotechnology company in the world in several disputes related to quality of goods, royalties and biotechnology issues (amount involved is inestimable).
