Katia Zambrano Mazloum


Experience Summary

Graduated in Law from Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (FMU/SP) in 1995, with specialization in Tax Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP) in 1999. She conducts her legal practice in the Tax Litigation area, especially in regard to federal taxation, with focus on direct taxes, drafting of legal briefs and defense of the interests of companies in different segments. She replies to client's consultations with the issuance of legal opinions and development of new legal arguments. She is always presenting alternatives in legal cases and has an outstanding performance in strategic cases of companies; she provides advice to clients on how to join tax amnesty programs and alternatives for the use of tax credits. She coordinates tax due diligence procedures in mergers and acquisitions aiming at determining contingent liabilities and potential credits that may result from tax litigation cases; in addition, she coordinates the mapping and management of tax litigation cases of companies.
