Naum Rotenberg was born on January 12, 1927, in Niterói, State of Rio de Janeiro. His parents, Olga and Moysés, immigrated from Ukraine and shortly after Mr. Rotenberg's birth, they moved to the Capital of São Paulo, where he studied. Mr. Rotenberg earned an LL.M degree from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) School of Law - Largo São Francisco, in 1950. In the same year, Mr. Rotenberg presided over the Law Department of the Academic Center XI de Agosto, of the Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
Mr. Rotenberg was a law intern at the Prosecution Office. In 1951, he was hired by the corporate law firm Demarest Advogados, of which he became a partner and CEO, providing services to national and international clients.
He is a former member of Executive Board and Board of Directors of several companies. Mr. Rotenberg was also President of the Employers' Association of Frozen Foods and Deep Frozen Foods, affiliated to the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo.
According to the law firm's rules, after his retirement, he remains providing services as a firm member.
Mr. Rotenberg is married to Clarice Rotenberg, and has three children: Eduardo, Simone and Arthur.
