Brazil postpones the Request for Comments on Foreign Trade Regulatory Agenda 2018/2019
The Brazilian Chamber of Foreign Trade (CAMEX) has postponed the official deadline to January 31st, 2018 for the request for comments to the 1st Foreign Trade Regulatory Agenda for the biennium 2018/2019. In view of this initiative, CAMEX demonstrates flexibility to receive contributions and will allow for a greater number of contributions by companies and foreign trade agents.
As previously reported by Demarest, CAMEX intends to promote transparency, identify and solve regulatory issues that affect foreign trade in Brazil. CAMEX aims to collect the society's opinions on several international trade fronts. It will be possible to suggest improvement, revision, amendments, updates or revocation of proposals, as well as to suggest new actions. Participants' data will not be publicly disclosed.
The manifestations will be through the fulfillment of a form submitted to CAMEX on eight selected topics:
For each of the themes, there is a list of norms to be reviewed and actions intended. This request for comments is an opportunity for companies and associations to point out to the Brazilian government possible regulatory barriers and challenges faced in foreign trade operations.
