Demarest welcomes new Tax Litigation partner

Tax Specialist Priscila Faricelli joins the team of Demarest, one of the most prestigious law firms in Brazil and among the largest in Latin America. The arrival of Faricelli will add an even greater level knowledge and excellence to the services provided by the firm, in addition to aligning with Demarest’s policy of continued growth in several areas.

Priscila holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), a specialization in Tax Law from the Escola Paulista de Direito (EPD) and a Master’s Degree in Civil Procedural Law from the University of São Paulo (USP). With a career spanning 19 years, she has accumulated extensive experience in advising both local and international medium and large sized companies.

“The arrival of Priscila Faricelli reinforces our strategy of investing in growth, improving and developing the firm’s activities in the tax area, seeking out leadership in discussions on tax arbitration and other relevant issues,” says Paulo Coelho da Rocha, Managing Partner of Demarest. “Priscila has the attributes we seek – excellence in service delivery and skills to leverage new business within a full-service firm like Demarest,” he adds.

In addition to publishing articles and speaking at various events, Faricelli is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Procedural Law (IBDP) and the Brazilian Center for Judicial Studies and Research (CEBEPEJ). Her resumé also includes recognition as recipient of the Women in Tax award, International Tax Review, for 2017 and 2018. She is currently a member of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), where she coordinates the group on Tax Arbitration.

“I am happy to be part of this winning team and, as an objective, I will help Demarest consolidate itself as a leading firm in tax practice as the Judiciary gains importance in this area,” says Priscila. “This will be one of the strategic tasks for the sector and for Demarest, with the mission of overcoming challenges and delivering our clients the best service.”
