Is Your Company Prepared for the Brazilian General Data Protection Law that will take effect in August?

6 de fevereiro de 2020

The Brazilian General Personal Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018 – “GPDL”) will take effect on August 15, 2020, to govern the processing of personal data.

The non-compliance of such norms will subject companies and individuals to sanctions, such as fines that can reach fifty million Reais per infraction. For further information, please access our Brochure with an overview of the GDPL at DEMAREST – General Personal Data Protection Law.

Taking into account the significant volume of work required to be compliant, it is very important to start adjustments to the new norm as early as possible. Our Data Privacy and Cybersecurity team can assist your company with the legal measures involved.

Please access this link, for information about our Data Privacy and Cybersecurity area.

We are available to schedule a conference call or meeting, in order to explain our work and how we can help your organization to be compliant with the GPDL.
