25 de abril de 2019

Moving forward with the São Paulo city privatization plan, the Internal Affairs Secretary of São Paulo City opened a public consultation on April 23 for the tendering of two local markets – the iconic Mercado Municipal Paulistano and the equally traditional Kinjo Yamoto market, both located in the city’s downtown district.

The project documents provide that the winning bidder shall carry out the restoration and refurbishment works at the markets, in exchange for the right to operate for the period of 25 years.

According to the bid documents under consultation, the capital expenditures estimated for the works to be carried out in the markets are estimated at BRL 87 million and must be completed within 24 months.

The consultation will be open until May 24, and the project documents can be accessed at this link.
