SECEX Initiates Antidumping Duty Review of Chinese Dishware

17 de janeiro de 2019

On January 17, 2019, the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX), part of the newly established Ministry of Economy, initiated an investigation to review the antidumping duty applied to Brazilian imports of dishware, commonly classified under items 6911.10.10, 6911.10.90, 6911.90.00 and 6912.00.00 by the Mercosur Harmonized System (NCM), originating from China.

Dumping investigations allow the participation of companies that have an interest in importing the target product from the country under investigation (in this case, China). Interested companies can submit claims to demonstrate that there is no dumping and no injury to the domestic industry of the country initiating the investigation (in this case, Brazil) resulting from the alleged dumping.

Interested companies should be aware of the deadlines for qualification in the investigation, which commences from January 17, 2019.
