— Advised Digital Realty, a global leader in providing data centers and interconnection solutions, in the acquisition of Ascenty, the largest Brazilian data center company, in an operation valued at USD 1.8 billion, as well as a syndicated loan, totaling USD 775 million, granted to finance the acquisition. Also advised Digital Realty in setting up its joint venture with Brookfield for the operation of Ascenty.
— Advised Itochu Corporation in the acquisition of Connect Holding Ltda., Conecta Comercio e Serviços Ltda. and Conecta Administradora e Corretora de Seguros Ltda., the leading companies in the provision of insurance programs for mobile phones and mass insurance in Brazil.
— Advised Federal-Mogul Motorparts Corporation, an auto parts company, in the Brazilian part of the global sale of its windshield wiper business to Trico, in an operation totaling USD 27 million.
— Advised Federal-Mogul Motorparts Corporation, an auto parts company, in the formation of a joint venture with Randon Group to manufacture brake systems.
— Advised Odebrecht TransPort S.A. in the formation of a joint venture with Mitsui Co. Ltd. for the development of projects in the area of urban mobility, in a transaction totaling BRL 17 billion.
