Partner of Demarest’s Tax area, Eloisa de Almeida Rego Barros Curi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Accounting by the Mackenzie Presbyterian University. She specialized in the Tax area aiming the structuring of transactions and commercial operations, consulting and administrative litigation (involving, among other issues, transfer pricing, amortization of goodwill and application of Article 7 of the Treaties to Avoid Double Taxation executed by Brazil), as well as the reorganization of inheritance and assets. Among her main clients are companies in the insurance, financial, industrial and healthcare sectors.

Advised Agro Amazônia Produtos Agropecuários Ltda. in Sumitomo Corporation’s investment in the company in the amount of R$ 130 million

Advised the Odebrecht Group in agreement with Mitsui for investments in the Brazilian urban mobility sector, in the estimated amount of R$ 17 billion by 2020

Advised Vesuvius Plc in the purchase of Ecil Met Tec Lda., Ecil North America LLC and US Lake Effect Properties LLC, for the amount of R$ 83 million

Advised Generali in the sale of its investment banking division, present in 10 jurisdictions, to Banco BTG Pactual S/A., for US$ 1.7 billion
