Partner in the areas of Banking and Finance at Demarest, Helen Naves holds an LL.M. in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law (USA), a master’s degree in Commercial Law and a specialization in Capital Markets Law, both from USP. She has more than 20 years of experience in drafting and negotiating bank contracts, guarantees and financial instruments, derivatives, futures, debt and equity capital market operations, project financing operations, as well as operations involving agribusiness, export and import. Helen also represents creditors in the context of restructuring debts of debtors in situations of insolvency and has worked in financial institutions, such as Banco Safra and Banco Santander. Helen is admitted to practice law in both Brazil and New York State.

– Advised the underwriter in an issuance and public distribution of commercial promissory notes, under the terms of CVM Instruction 476, of a company in the bioenergy sector
