Partner of Demarest’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice area, Luciana holds a master’s degree (LL.M) from the Harvard Law School (USA) and a post-graduate degree from the International Tax Program (ITP) at Harvard University. She acted as a foreign associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Luciana is the head of Demarest’s Corporate Social Responsibility area, which encompasses the Social Responsibility, Diversity & Inclusion and Pro Bono groups. Advised Opersan Residuos Industriais S.A. in the sale of Saneamento Ceará S.A. to Alpha Saneamento Participações S.A. (a company owned by Alphaville Urbanismo S.A.), both companies invested in by Pátria.
Advised Lone Pine Capital on investment in VTEX, the first and only fully integrated e-commerce, marketplace and OMS solution platform in the world, in a BRL 1.25 billion series D investment round.
Advised Diebold Nixdorf on the sale by Procomp Indústria Eletrônica Ltda. of its software division to Stefanini Consultoria e Assessoria em Informática S.A.
Advised Ashland International Holdings LLC in the sale of its composites business in Brazil to Ineos Enterprises Group Ltd., as part of a global operation. The companies included in the operation have combined sales of more than USD 1.1 billion per year.
Advised Nidec Corporation on the acquisition of 100% of Omron Automotive Electronics and its subsidiaries, as part of a global operation worth ¥ 100 billion (USD 893.50 million).
