Partner of Demarest’s Infrastructure area, Paloma Valéria Martins Lima has Bachelor’s Degree in Law by Largo São Francisco’s Law School (USP) and has specialization in Corporate Governance by Stanford University (USA). She has regulatory and contractual expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects related to various sectors, including energy, oil and gas, shipyards and transportation (subway, railways, highways, ports and airports). She also has broad experience with financial institutions, multilateral organizations, investors and large companies working, performing her works mainly in project finance and structured operations.

Experience

Serv (Swiss Export Risk Insurance), IFC e BID Invest in the financing of US$ 3.1 billion of a combined cycle thermoelectric power plant with 1.5 GW installed capacity in the State of Sergipe, with a combined project finance and through the issue of Debentures in Brazil;

EIG Group in the investment of R$ 1.3 billion in the Açu port complex in Rio de Janeiro;

CCR and VLT Rio consortium in the financing and implementation of the tramway stretch in the city of Rio de Janeiro;

CPFL – Energia in the financing of acquisition of US$ 1.5 billion of the AES-Sul energy company in Brazil;

CEMIG in the bidding process for the privatization of EDP Portugal;
