Demarest advised SAAM, a Chilean publicly-held corporation, through its Brazilian subsidiary SAAM Towage Brasil, to acquire a total of 21 tugboats from Starnav Serviços Marítimos, a Brazilian subsidiary from Detroit (Chilean group), being 17 of them already operational and 4 still under construction, for the total amount of USD 198 million.
