Partner in Demarest’s Telecommunications, Media and Technology practice area, Beatriz França holds a postgraduate degree in Administrative Law and a bachelor’s degree in Law from PUC-SP. She has extensive experience assisting foreign clients with legal and regulatory matters related to expanding their operations into the Brazilian market. She concentrates her practice on structuring business models, securing permits and licenses, drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts, analyzing applicable regulations, and implementing regulatory compliance frameworks in Brazil. Beatriz advises both local and international clients in public hearings and consultations involving the telecommunications and digital services markets, as well as in interactions with regulatory authorities. She also provides support in administrative disputes involving companies in the sector, as well as in various types of administrative proceedings. Beatriz is recognized by leading legal publications such as Chambers Brazil, The Legal 500, and Leaders League.
- Advised numerous international groups on entering and/or expanding their satellite network operations in the Brazilian market, including the provision of satellite products and services.
- Advised a major Brazilian retail company in administrative proceedings involving disputes between ANATEL and e-commerce platforms.
- Advised a mobile telecommunications operator in administrative proceedings concerning the extension and pricing of infrastructure-related radio frequencies.
- Advised telecommunications providers on government contracts and partnerships arising from sector-specific public policies.
