Partner of Demarest’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Life Sciences areas, Guilherme Vieira da Silva holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (Chicago, USA). He is specialized in Civil and Constitutional Law from UERJ and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from PUC-RJ. Guilherme operates in the areas of corporate governance and capital markets in the energy, insurance, mining and financial segments. - Guilherme advised Medcare Comércio de Produtos e Equipamentos Médico Hospitalares on the sale of 100% of its shares to Viveo, whose official name is CM Hospitalar. All parties to the transaction operate in the medical device distribution market.
- Advised Tecno4 Produtos Hospitalares and P S Distribuidora de Produtos da Saúde on the sale of 100% of its shares to Viveo, whose official name is CM Hospitalar. All parties to the transaction operate in the medical device distribution market.
- Advised Mansilla Participações, a Brazilian holding company that belongs to a group of companies controlled by the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA), on the sale to Cosan of part of its shares held in Radar Propriedades Agrícolas, Radar II Propriedades Agrícolas, Nova Agrícola Ponte Alta, Nova Amaralina Propriedades Agrícolas, Nova Santa Bárbara Agrícola, Terras da ponte Alta, Castanheira Propriedades Agrícolas, Manacá Propriedades Agrícolas and Paineira Propriedades Agrícolas.
- Assisted Caixa Econômica Federal in the incorporation of a joint venture, through its subsidiary Caixa Seguridade, with French insurance company CNP Assurances, for the trading of life insurance, loan protection insurance and pension products through Caixa’s distribution network, for a period of 25 years as of 2021.
