Partner of Demarest’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice area, Luciana holds a master’s degree (LL.M) from the Harvard Law School (USA) and a post-graduate degree from the International Tax Program (ITP) at Harvard University. She acted as a foreign associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Luciana is the head of Demarest’s Corporate Social Responsibility area, which encompasses the Social Responsibility, Diversity & Inclusion and Pro Bono groups.   • Advised Paysafe on the acquisition of SafetyPay for USD 441 million.
  • Advised Bayer in the sale of Schering do Brasil (producer of hormonal balance products for women). Amount involved BRL 350 million.
  • Advised CyrusOne, a relevant shareholder in Odata, in the sale of its entire stake to Aligned Data Centers. Aligned also acquired the remaining stake in Odata from the current shareholders. The estimate value of Odata in the market was USD 1.8 billion at the time of the transaction.
  • Advised Softbank and Riverwood Capital in a funding round for Gupy, Brazilian human resources startup founded in 2015. Amount involved BRL 500 million.
  • Advised Ashland International Holdings LLC in the sale of its composites business in Brazil to Ineos Enterprises Group Ltd., as part of a global operation. The companies included in the operation have combined sales of more than USD 1.1 billion per year.
