January 5th, 2026

Senior associates from two practice areas of the firm will join as partners in January, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to valuing talent

Demonstrating its commitment to recognizing talent and enhancing its capabilities in strategic areas, Demarest Advogados – one of the largest full-service law firms in Brazil and Latin America – is pleased to announce two new partners in its Banking and Technology practices.

Senior associates Camila Garrote (Intellectual Property, Innovation, and Technology) and Fausto Teixeira (Banking and Finance) will start as partners in January 2026. With these two promotions, Demarest now totals 105 partners, who work to provide multidisciplinary, innovative and highly complex legal services to more than 2,500 clients in Brazil and abroad.

“Recognizing talent is part of our ongoing commitment to developing and valuing professionals throughout Demarest’s 77 years in the legal market,” says José Diaz, managing partner at Demarest Advogados. “We invest in structured human resources initiatives that empower and prepare our professionals to take on strategic positions. The promotion of new partners reinforces our mission to serve our clients with ever-greater excellence, offering innovative legal solutions tailored to meet their needs,” he adds.

Over the course of 2025, Demarest announced 11 lateral partner hires – in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and regions where the firm intends to expand its activities and strengthen its presence with local clients – as part of the strategic planning for the period up to 2026 and the regional expansion of the firm.

Of the 13 new partners (11 lateral hires and two promotions), eight are women, underscoring the firm’s commitment to social responsibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
