He concentrates his practice in advising agents in the Private Equity & Venture Capital industry. João Busin has a vast international experience, as he served as a foreign associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, in London, and is recognized by the major legal publications Chambers Global, Chambers Brazil, IFLR1000, Latin Lawyer 250, The Legal 500 and Análise Advocacia 500.

  • Advised the Canadian pension fund Ontario Teachers Pension Plan on the acquisition of 100% of the shares issued by the company that owns the largest electricity transmission line in Brazil, Evoltz, which were previously held by the private equity fund TPG.
  • Advised a fund managed by the Axxon Group on the purchase of shares in Doce D'ocê, a company that operates in the deep-frozen bakery sector.
  • Advised GEF Capital on the acquisition of shares in Lar Plásticos, a São Paulo company focused on recycling plastic waste.
  • Advised the GPS Group on the purchase of 100% of GRSA, a company that provides food and support services, through the acquisition of 100% of the shares held by the Compass Group.
