JUCESP to authenticate corporate books exclusively in digital format

September 1st, 2025

Starting from September 1, 2025, the Board of Commerce of the State of São Paulo (JUCESP) will no longer authenticate printed corporate books and will only perform digital authentications.

This change is part of the final implementation of the modernization rules provided for in the National Department of Business Registration and Integration (DREI) Normative Instruction No. 82, of February 19, 2021, as amended by Normative Instruction DREI No. 79, of November 22, 2022. This innovation aims to simplify and optimize book authentication services.

After the authentication is granted, companies will have up to 30 days to download the content of the recorded books without the need to pay an additional fee. The company will remain exclusively responsible for the storage of the book content and the custody and conservation of the electronic bookkeeping.

It is important to note that:

  • Printed books that have already been authenticated by JUCESP, and have blank pages, may be used and filled in until their completion.
  • Printed books that have already been used and filled in, whether authenticated or not, may be digitized and submitted to JUCESP for electronic authentication upon the submission of a new authentication term and a company management statement confirming that it is the same book.
