Partner of Demarest’s Mergers and Acquisitions area, Thereza Montoro holds a master’s degree in Commercial Law from USP and is a specialist in corporate law. She acts for both domestic and international clients from various segments, such as automotive, cosmetics, chemicals, animal health, technology, among others. Thereza is a member of the Women Executives Committee of the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce and author of articles published in the specialized media.
- Advised Deutsche Post DHL Group in the execution of a purchase agreement to acquire up to 100% of J.F. Hillebrand Group AG and its subsidiaries at an equity value of around EUR 1.5 billion.
- Advised SAAM, a Chilean publicly held corporation, through its Brazilian subsidiary SAAM Towage Brasil, in the acquisition of 21 tugboats from Starnav Serviços Marítimos, a Brazilian subsidiary from Detroit (Chilean group), of which 17 are already in operation and four others are still under construction. Amount involved USD 198,000,000.00.
- Advised the Schmidt family, shareholders of EMBARÉ INDÚSTRIAS ALIMENTÍCIAS, in the joint venture with Betânia Lácteos and partial sale of shares to Alvoar (held by Arlon).
- Advised Solar.br Participações and its affiliate, Tocantins Refrigerantes, in the subscription of 78.5% of the capital stock of SolarPay Instituição de Pagamentos.
