Partner of Demarest’s Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions practices, Thiago Giantomassi holds a master’s degree from the University of São Paulo (USP). He advises investment banks, private equity firms, publicly and closely-held companies, controlling shareholders, investors, intermediaries and advisors in domestic and international operations in a variety of economic sectors.   • Advised on the structuring and implementation of the spin-off of MRV’s participation in LOG, its logistic warehouse unit, as well as the registration of a publicly-held company with the CVM for the trading of equity instruments and the listing of its shares in BM&F Bovespa’s Novo Mercado.
  • Advised shareholders of Auto Ricci in the combining of businesses with Unidas (formerly Locamérica), one of the largest publicly-traded companies operating in the fleet rental segment.
  • Assisted in more than 40 securitization operations over the past three years, with emphasis on the sectors of agribusiness, real estate and credit-owed by public entities, in an amount in excess of BRL 18 billion, which includes funding through instruments due from Raízen, BR Distribuidora, MRV, Fibria, Monsanto, BASF, Mosaic, CCAB, the States of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, JSL, CMAA, among others.
  • Advisory on the acquisition of an alternative investment platform by Lone Star.
  • Advising on funding in the capital markets for infrastructure projects, with emphasis on the port, rail and energy segments, including investment funds dedicated exclusively to such projects.
