Several firms advise on Anglo American joint venture with Vale

Pinheiro Neto and Shearman & Sterling advised Anglo American on its joint venture with Vale, which was advised by Demarest Advogados and White & Case. The transaction involving the acquisition by Anglo American Minério de Ferro Brasil (Anglo American Brasil) of the Serra da Serpentina iron ore resource, which is expected to be integrated into Anglo American’s existing Minas-Rio mine complex in Brazil, and the concurrent acquisition by Vale of 15% of the issued and outstanding shares of Anglo American Brasil.
